What is Voluntarily? People helping people.

With Aotearoa NZ facing a future filled with uncertainty, helping each other is needed now more than ever.

We know there are a lot of people out there who want to help others. Facebook and other social media is great at sharing but people's needs can often get lost in the timeline.  What's missing is how we do this at scale and without people's needs getting lost. This is where we come in.

People can ask for help, and people can offer help

It’s that simple. Supporting kiwis that want to volunteer their time, skills or stuff to those that need them.

Voluntarily helps bring all of those people into one place so that help can be asked for and offered in a searchable, targeted way. Enabling everyone to get the support they need.

Volunteers can sign up. They can be individuals or part of a corp team (CSR). They can specify the skills they have. They can get Volunteer ready with some tutorials, and might get police vetted. They get badges for completing these tasks.Groups or individuals can put up

Asks

  • These can be pretty much anything
  • Talk to my class
  • Get me groceries
  • Small business advice, like how to apply for govt support
  • Financial planning

Partners (like Xero, or the Ministry of Education) can put up templates:

  • Templates are prepackaged activities for Volunteers to do
  • So they don’t spin their wheels
  • They can pick a structured activity like talk to a class, or do a business plan, or how to apply for a grant
  • Only approved partners can put up templates.

The platform

  • Lets a community or individual pick a template for an “ask” or just do an adhoc one
  • The search engine matches asks to preferences and skills of volunteers
  • The platform looks after the workflow of doing the volunteering, communication
