This is a playbook for organising a code party & includes things to do

Instructions


  1. Decide on a date to run the event - and check for conflicts with other major events
  2. Suss out a Venue
  3. Suss out Catering or find a partner to handle catering
  4. Create some marketing/design collateral for the event
  5. Create an eventbrite event to feed attendees into registering to
  6. Create a page on the website
  7. Create a Facebook Event
  8. Go wide on social

On the day

  1. Start Day 1
  2. Introduction, why we do this
  3. Split team up into experienced & inexperienced tech / nontech
  4. Techies go into VP82, nontech into design sprint if they dont want to code
  5. buddy system to pair devs
  6. three streams
    1. experienced technical (andrew?)
    2. tutorial sessions (ete?)
    3. design sprint (walt)
  7. End day 1
  8. Pub time!
