These pages list the types of roles that a person can have specifically within the Voluntarily platform and what that allows them to do.
The first two roles - VOLUNTEER_PROVIDER and OPPORTUNITY_PROVIDER Combine to make a matrix of 4 options

When a person first signs in they asked what they want to be able to do.
Ask for help - VOLUNTEER_PROVIDER is not set
Offer to help - > VOLUNTEER_PROVIDER is set.
They are also made members of the Voluntarily default group which gives the OPPORTUNITY provider status.
