Setup Enterprise Single Sign On

Voluntarily wants to make it as easy as possible for volunteers to get started on the platform. One obstacle is the need to create an account, decide a new username and password, and then validate your email address.

This is why Voluntarily has partnered with Auth0.com to provide a range of ways in which you can sign in without creating new credentials.

For individuals, you can sign in using your existing Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn social media accounts.

For enterprises, you can connect your staff to voluntarily by integrating into your single sign-on system. Auth0 supports: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC)) SAML, WS-Federation, & LDAP ( Auth0 - Connection protocols.

Single Sign-on (SSO) Allows your staff to sign into Voluntarily using their office credentials routing through their familiar company sign-in page. It also allows you to track which of your staff are using Voluntarily and allows you to control who can use Voluntarily using sign-in groups.

We recommend SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) as one of the easiest ways to connect your staff using Voluntarily to your existing internal directory.

Configuration is straightforward and if you already connect to cloud services such as Salesforce, Office365 etc you may have done this before.

To get started your CIO will need to allocate an IT representative that is familiar with and has configuration rights on your internal directory. We will then liase with that person to configure and test the connection.
