Workflow: Basic member to Volunteer

Workflow promotes a basic member to a volunteer.

When completed a person will be a member of a volunteer group, have watched the ‘how to offer’ video and completed their profile.

• Trigger is a goal card or button on landing page. or run on after completing Workflow: Anon to Basic Member

Version 1 - autojoin default volunteer organization.

• Create an org called Voluntarily Volunteers (the horde) which is a VP.

• Join the person to the horde as a member. This gives them VOLUNTEER role.

• New org membership triggers pub of VP_NEW topic which

  • Sends a welcome email to new volunteer

  • Allocates VP_NEW goal cards which include

    • Complete the longer profile - must includes tags and location

    • Get identify verified

    • Watch the how to offer help video

    • Get Police Vetted

Version 2 - person can select volunteer group
Display a page to select which volunteer group you want to join. This is an org list page filtered by VP role.

Click on the org - and then click JOIN. You will be joined according to the groups membership policy.

Being a member of a volunteer group gives you someone to look after you, ensure you are safe, report on your activities and help find people to help.
